These are the per diem rates for federal contract court interpreters effective October 1, 2015:

The half-day rate is paid for services up to and including four hours in one day; the full-day rate is paid for services in excess of four hours up to and including eight hours in one day; the overtime/hourly rates apply if the workday exceeds eight hours, not including meal periods. Overtime payments are not applicable to travel time.
A contract interpreter cannot charge different court units for any half-day or full day for which he or she is already receiving payment from another court unit.
We observe a ten-minute courtesy period before overtime rates apply for assignments after 5:30 p.m.
